Term 4 maths knowledge

This term one of the skills I have worked on on is counting on in my brain 

Something I learned was triangles can be could be equilateral triangle

Something I need to work on is skip counting in fours and eights forwards and backwards.

Term 4 reading

This was my favourite activity because you could divide basically everything in half. The text was called multiplication Monday.

I like these hive activity’s because it was easy to do them.

The flavour that worked best was: pear, cucumber and black Doris plums because you can taste all 3 flavours at the same time.

The trip to the museum

My cubism art.

We went to the MTG to learn more about cubism. Something l really enjoyed was making the cubism faces. Something l would like to know more about is what the pictures were about.

In my Maths knowledge I am in stage 5. I am good at instantly recalling bonds to 1000.

I am working on skip counting in 4's and 8's.

Reading Term 2 In reading this week I read the book 'wet' on the Reading eggspress app. I did not use the read-back function. Something I learned was hippopotamuses give birth under water. I passed all of the comprehension tests. I needed to re-read 1 chapter to pass.

In swimming I am in the dolphins group. When I dive in the pool it's freezing when I get uses to the water it's relaxing. When I hop in the pool it's like a icy cold ocean. I love the feeling of the smooth water in the pool. Something I did well was doing freestyle. I am working on backstroke.

On wednesday room 6 went to the waka. In the beginning a man started talking for 15 minutes. Then we put on our lifejackets and got on the waka. We rowed all the way to the campsite and back. In the end we came back to school.

In writing we are learning to write recounts.

Something I did well was using ‘w’ details.

Something I need to work on is to finish my recount with a sentence about how I felt.
